My vision is developing advanced medical technologies from the leading edge of academic research.
Currently, I am focusing on continuing validation of a highly innovative AI platform technology that
generates RNA therapies for all cancers to allow cheap, non-toxic, personalized treatment for a global
population through combining basic research and start-up companies (e.g., OncoLife Therapeutics).
Skills/Experience
Academic
I have been an innovative scientist for >30 years. Ran my own laboratory (Neurogenomics) for 4+
years (following PhD studies and two post-doc positions), supervised multiple research staff/students,
performed pioneering research (e.g., cancer, bioinformatics, stem cells, mechanistic non-coding RNA)
and published in high quality journals as lead author (e.g., Neuron and Molecular Psychiatry). I
conceptualized, planned, and managed my own research projects for >15 years investigating
revolutionary conceptual ideas in cancer and stem cell biology.
Biotech/Entrepreneur
I worked as a research scientist for 9 years at an early-stage biotech company in San Diego, California
(Neurocrine Biosciences Inc.) and have recently been CEO at OncoLife Therapeutics, a start-up biotech
company based in Australia and Magnaetus Therapeutics, a start-up based in the UK. These experiences
have led to a deep understanding of early-stage biotech ventures from both scientific and business aspects
and will lead to successful commercialization of my basic scientific research.
